You need a pair of boots, so todays painting is my right boot. When working on the left boot I went past a point where the boot was mostly a silhouette, kind of wished I had stopped there. So, when working on this painting I remained conscience of that ‘point’ and stopped.

I have a great old pair of cowboy boots that I bought from our friend Evan Voyles twenty years ago. I think I like this one. May be the subject matter, or may be the simplicity. When I was trying them out I recall Evan saying that a good pair of boots give you some attitude. So, I don’t wear them too much :)
