The wonderful app, ArtRage, has released a version for the iPhone. This is a first quick sketch with it. Looking forward to trying it for an extended period.

Update: This project got funded in less than three days!
I can proudly say that I was the first backer for this kickstarter project. I’m really looking forward to trying the brush out on Mason’s iPad. Click over to kickstarter and check it out. I should add a disclaimer here: I used to work as art director for Artist Hardware (the company that is making the Sensu).

You can’t be bored if you have an iphone.

Our son Mason turned fourteen recently. Hard to believe, seems like yesterday that we were giving him a bath in the kitchen sink. Geez. Here is a sketch of our cool teenager.

I drew this on my iphone using Skechbook. Which is now my favorite app for drawing.

I have been having a really good time sketching on my iphone. Using an iphone to draw on is sort finger painting meets Captain Picard. I have been trying out two apps, Brushes and Layers. They are both nice, no clear winner yet for me. What I really like is having a full blown color palette and sketchbook that I can put in my pocket with me. Below is a sketch I did last night (using a limited three color palette).
